What is a Detox Diet?
A detox diet is one of the most popular
forms of diets, especially among celebrities. In a detox diet, we aim at
getting rid of all the toxins in our body that we intake in the form of junk
food, alcohol, caffeine, cigarettes, and something which we can’t control;
pollution.
It is essential to get rid of these toxins
because the lifestyle most of us follow does not give us a lot of time to take
care of our body, and the presence of these toxins in our bodies can make us
prone to problems such as weight gain, bloating, fatigue, etc.
It can sometimes be challenging to follow
such diets, especially in cities like Mumbai, but at the same time, it is worth
the effort. To start with your detox
diet, the first thing you need to do is, cut down on junk altogether,
which includes everything ranging from processed foods to cigarettes and start
consuming fruits. Doing this might lead to a reduction in body weight because
you don’t have a lot of food choices. It can be a bit challenging for teenagers
because once the detox diet is over, they might crave consuming junk food more
than they did earlier, and this can induce unhealthy eating patterns in them.
